Thomas Dennis died from an unspecified causes on 17th December, 1914, while in England. The 2nd Bedfordshire battalion of 21 Brigade, 7th Division had arrived on the Western Front in October, 1914 and had been involved in much of the fighting since then including the First Battle of Ypres but it is not known if he had served abroad with the battalion.
